Thank you for considering our family as you search for the qualities you are looking for in a loving home for your child! We appreciate the strength and courage it requires for you to choose adoption for your baby. Adoption has always held a special place in our hearts, and in November 2016, we were blessed with the adoption of Zachary! He is the absolute joy of our lives!! We are close in age to our siblings and would love for our children to have the same opportunity to share their experiences as they grow up together.
Our first date was in February 2011 and we've been inseparable ever since! We immediately felt completely at home with one another. We married in May 2013 and have a wonderful relationship based on love, trust, commitment and open communication.
Our faith is an important part of our life together. We had the amazing experience of having our marriage blessed by Pope Francis while on our honeymoon in Italy! Your child will be taught the values which are so important to us - honesty, integrity, mercy, charity, forgiveness, and kindness to others.
David, In Bonnie's Eyes
David is a genuinely GOOD person! He is generous and kind. He goes out of his way to help others. He never hesitates to give to those in need whether it's the guy on the street or a neighbor who is sick. I look forward to our children learning from his good example. He is a wonderful "Papa" to Zachary! They have such a good time together. He gets true joy out of watching Zachary learn and discover new things.
David had an executive level job in the telecommunication industry for many years which involved some out of town and overseas travel. When Zachary was born, he decided to become a stay-at-home dad! He is a GREAT dad and it has worked out VERY well for our family! He recently obtained his real estate license and is looking forward to being able to work while maintaining a flexible schedule.
I feel very safe and secure with David. I know he will always put our family first, no matter what!
Bonnie, In David's Eyes
Bonnie is many things which I am not. Whether it's planning, organizing or keeping us on track with our goals, she is the champion of so many things in our relationship. She is a licensed health care professional and finds helping patients in need very rewarding. Her job is very stable and she has been at the same facility her entire career.
We have always been united when it comes to our faith and our love of family. Our faith led us to one another, and it is the foundation of our marriage. Bonnie has a strong love for our family. Spending quality time with Zachary, me, and the rest of our extended family has always been a priority for her. I am very fortunate to have a wife with whom I can share the day-to-day trials, future plans and an underlying faith in all that we do and all that we are.
Zachary is a very active, happy, fun-loving little boy! He laughs and smiles all the time. He LOVES being around other children, so we know he will be a great big brother! His favorite things are Sesame Street (especially Elmo), reading books, and playing outside. He also enjoys frequent visits from his grandparents.
We live in a nicely remodeled home in a quiet, well established neighborhood. There's a private school within walking distance, and a large playground. There's a lake nearby with parks and hiking trails.
We enjoy spending quiet evenings at home cooking, reading, relaxing together and playing with Zachary. However, we also like to dress up on occasion to go to a nice event. We both enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking and spending time at the lake. We love to travel and both traveled extensively prior to meeting each other and as a couple. We look forward to sharing both travel experiences and family time at home with our children. There are also many opportunities for fun and educational outings within our home city.
We were fortunate to be raised by loving, supportive families. Our families instilled in us the importance of a good education, a strong work ethic, and solid morals. We will guide your child in such a way as to encourage the development of these qualities.
We each grew up in rural areas and like to visit often. Your child will have the opportunity to experience the best of both worlds. Visits to grandparents will include riding in a tractor, feeding cows, going to the lake, and hiking in the woods.
Each of our extended families has been touched by adoption, but Bonnie's family has direct experience because one of her sisters was adopted. Both of our families absolutely LOVE Zachary and are very excited about welcoming another child to the family! Your child will have many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents.
We feel very blessed in our lives and we would love to share those blessings with another child. We promise to provide your child with a solid education, a stable home life, and unconditional love. We will do everything we can to help them reach their full potential while having a lot of fun along the way.
Our prayers are with you!
David and Bonnie
