We are so thankful that you are taking the time to consider us as adoptive parents to your child. We admire your selfless choice to make an adoption plan, acknowledging your strength and the incredible sacrifice you are making. We are honored and humbled to have the opportunity to build our family through adoption. None of this would be possible without you!
Neither Clay or Laura remembers the first day we met. We know it was sometime in 2008 at church, but we were in different circles. It wasn't until 3 years later in 2011 that we were at a mutual friend's house and had a conversation. That conversation turned into hanging out in the same circles, followed by a game night that Clay planned so he could ask Laura on a date. It worked! We've been inseparable ever since. Clay proposed in the Spring of 2012, and we were married later in Fall of 2012.
In 7 years of marriage we've lived in 2 states (California and Texas). We've traveled to 14 states and one country (Costa Rica). We love to learn and travel and look forward to many more years of adventures.
Meet Laura By Clay
Laura is an incredibly kind and upbeat person who greets everyone with a smile. She always looks for the best in every person and situation. I am certain she is going to be the best mom ever. I can't wait to raise a child with her!
She is crazy about all animals, but especially puppies, goats, and llamas. Laura is incredibly modest, and never asks for or demands much, except for when it comes to a dog that needs a new home. Then she can become quite insistent and quite the advocate. I can only imagine how much of an advocate she will be for our child.
Meet Clay By Laura
Clay is a wonderful husband, and I know he will be an amazing father. He values family, learning, enjoys travel, and loves nature. He is fun, silly, patient, kind, and loving.
Clay does a great job of balancing work and family. He prioritizes making memories, exploring new things, and spending time with his nephews.
He entertains me with original songs that he sings about our pets, travel, or chores. He makes me smile.
We live in a cozy three bedroom, 2 bath house in a very good neighborhood. We can always count on our neighbors to watch out for us.
This home also features a built-in terrier alert system. Barkley, our dog, will watch and vigilantly wait for you; or alert you when unwelcome squirrels or cats are on the premises.
Barkley's favorite thing about our home is the spacious backyard (with a covered pavilion and several shady trees!). It is the perfect place for a dog and a child to play together.
People can always find ways to make faith complicated, but it's really pretty simple. Jesus said that the greatest commandments are: (1) to love the Lord your God with all of your heart, soul, mind, and strength; and, (2) to love your neighbor as yourself.
This is how we strive to live out our faith. We love God, we love people, and we believe that it's important to be in a faith community so that we can learn, grow, and practice loving others well.
Faith is the cornerstone of our marriage, and it will be at the heart of our family as well. We pray with and for each other daily.
In Closing, With Love...
We cannot say enough, how humbled and honored we are that you would consider us as parents to your child. You are amazing and brave. Thank you for giving life to our family. This is such a priceless gift.
We promise to love your child as our own and give them a good life.
We promise to raise them to know of your beautiful sacrifice that allowed us to be a family.
We promise to maintain regular contact with you as long as you want it.
