What a brave woman you must be! You have chosen life and potentially given us the opportunity to start our family through adoption. We realize this is quite possibly the most difficult and emotional decision you might ever make during your lifetime. We can't thank you enough for taking the time to get to know us and are beyond excited to start this journey! Your courage truly amazes us and we pray that God will lead you in the right direction.
Our Love Story
We met in 2008 through mutual friends. It was 5 years from the time we first laid eyes on each other till we walked down the aisle to say "I Do." We started out as friends and at one point had three states between us, but our friendship was unwavering and we both had an admiration and respect for each other that was unfailing. We thank God every day for bringing us together and giving us a chance at our love story!!
About Nick (from Jessica)
I can honestly say that when I first met Nick, I knew he was the one. I always had a "crush" on him and knew he was somebody I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. He is the most kind hearted, loving, full of energy, compassionate, caring person I know. I have never met someone who is as selfless as him. He always puts me, family, and Coop (our St. Bernard) before himself. He loves Alabama football, duck hunting and cooking on his competitive BBQ team. In the short time that we have been married we have been faced with our share of challenges (infertility, buying our first house, etc.) and through it all, I can't imagine anyone else by my side. He truly is my rock and I can't wait to start a family with him.
About Jessica (from Nick)
I consider myself the luckiest man on Earth to be married to Jessica. There is not a day that goes by that I am not reminded in some way or another of how much I love her and why she is so special to me. Of course, she is beautiful, smart, fun loving, sincere (and a little silly sometimes), but she is so much more than that. She is a daughter that any parent or grandparent would be proud of; a sister that is protective and loving; a friend that is always willing to help or listen; and a wife that is caring and supportive. She is strong willed and is guided by her belief in God and love for Jesus. She is always willing to go out of her way to help others and she gives everything she has to make others happy. One thing I noticed early on in our relationship was the enjoyment she gets from being around children; not just with our nephews but with our friends' children as well. I think that her love of children shows that she has a pure heart and is one of the many reasons that I am so excited to have a family with her.
Our Dog Coop
Coop was born on October 16, 2014. He is our best friend. He absolutely loves playing with all of our nieces and nephews and is the friendliest, loving, cuddly dog you can imagine.
Our Thoughts On Parenting
We want to create a warm, loving environment full of unconditional support. We hope to raise a kind, thoughtful and generous child who believes in serving others and putting Christ and family first.
Jessica grew up in a wonderful family. Her parents truly love her and her siblings unconditionally. They have been by her side for every tear, every joy and every soccer game in her life. This child and Jessica's dad will have an unbreakable bond to share (they will have both been adopted). Her parents are thrilled to be welcoming their first grandchild into the family.
Nick grew up in a large family. He is very close to his siblings and considers each one of them a best friend. He really enjoys spending time with all of his family, whether its at a birthday party, during the holidays, or just a Sunday dinner. Although his parents have 6 grandchildren already, they are very excited to add another grandbaby; they know how special this child will be to not just Jessica and Nick, but to the whole family. As his dad always says about family, the more the merrier!
