Dear Expectant Mom,
Thank you for taking the time to read our story and get to know us. We are so grateful for you and admire your strength and courage to put together a plan for your baby. We believe that every child is a gift from God and born with purpose. We want to help guide and encourage our child down the path they have been made for, whatever that path is.
We are so excited to grow our family through the gift of adoption and hope you see our desire to parent as you glimpse into our life, personalities, family, community and our home through this profile. While we are far from perfect we hope you see that our story is being woven together to prepare us to have family and we anxiously wait for the opportunity to share our love with a child.
How We Met
We will begin with the story of how we fell in love.
We met in Seattle working in retail after we had both moved there to start our career. We were fast friends and enjoyed getting to know each other in a new city. Once we were more settled we began dating and soon realized that we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together. Conrad proposed after two years of dating and we were married a few months later, September 2010. Loma's career took us to the Bay Area California, where we started building our life together.
We had an opportunity to move to Texas, and eager to leave the hustle and bustle of the Bay Area we packed up and moved to Central Texas. The slower speed of life, amazing food and great community captured our hearts. Life is much calmer and stable and are looking forward to starting a family.
Conrad grew up in Seattle and moved to Texas when he was in junior high. He stayed in Texas through college before moving back to Seattle to start his career. That is where I first met him, we were both working in retail with little money but lots of hope for the future. After dating for a few months I knew I wanted to spend my life with him.
He was honest, kind, and driven. I was drawn to his confidence and optimism; he could accomplish anything he put his mind to. He didn't shy away from a challenge but took it head on and tried learning along the way. Even after six years of marriage that has not changed. He provides for our family and works hard to make sure we have a stable and comfortable home.
I have always thought Conrad would be a great dad. He cares deeply for those around us and truly invests his time and energy into those he loves. He is constantly reaching out to our friends, neighbors and family to hang out with them and see if there is anything we can do for them. He works hard to make sure our community and family is taken care of and well loved.

Loma will be a wonderful mom! She loves being aunt Loma to the children in our neighborhood. Whether going for chocolate pancakes or camping in tents on the lawn she is always ready to share an adventure with the little ones in her life.
Loma is strong and affectionate. Her friends love how she lifts them up and encourages them to be their best. She also loves entertaining at parties, and as often as she can, invites our community over to share a meal or play our favorite card games.
Loma is also a great wife. She is great at supporting our family and helps me to be a more conscientious person by showing a caring personality.

We are blessed to have an amazing community. They are teachers, business folks, stay at home moms, artists and pastors. They are our family and we are theirs. We laugh, cry and pray with them but also have roaring game nights, adventurous road trips and discover new restaurants. We love them and they love us.
We adore their children. Loma has taken several of the kiddos on excursions in the woods and camped out in tents in the backyard. Conrad is close with his friends adopted son Imani who yells at the top of his lungs "Mister Conrad, Mister Conrad" and runs in for a hug whenever they are together.
Community is what supports our marriage and keeps us whole.
We believe that faith is an important part of having a full life. We strive to live out our faith through our actions and lifestyle. We want to provide a home that reflects the God we believe in; a home full of grace, that loves deeply, is quick to forgive, that is kind and generous to each other and our friends and a home that is encouraging.
We believe that Jesus was the son of God who came to earth to show humanity who God was. He lived a perfect life and sacrificed himself so that we can have a relationship with God. His death was enough to remove our mistakes and unbelief.
We both grew up in Christian homes but were given the space to choose what we believe and were not judged when we questioned our parents faith. We want to provide that same foundation and freedom to our children as they grow up. We will do this by going to church on Sunday mornings, praying before our meals and staying in community with fellow believers.
We have always wanted to have a dog and couldn't wait to have a backyard to support one. We found LadyBird through a facebook post of a friend. They had raised her for three years, but with downsizing and a third child on the way, they wanted a family that could give her more time and attention. Conrad, knowing Loma loved chocolate labs, reached out immediately to adopt her. Our friends and their kids love playing with her and always ask us how she is doing and when they can see her next.
We adopted our cat almost the same way. She was six years old and in a house where she received little attention. Her big, clear blue eyes won us over immediately. We find her laying next to the dog, catching bugs or napping in our bed.
We hope this allowed you to see how excited we are to grow our family through the gift of adoption and we hope you see our desire to parent as you glimpsed into our life, personalities, family, community and our home.
We are praying for the very best for you and your baby.
